Gol Ghar in Patna

The Golghar in Patna is a granary that was built during the British empire to store grains just after the famine. Its an interesting structure that has stairs all round it to enable people to climb up the top and view the entire city of Patna along the River Ganges. The Gol Ghar is situated near the Gandhi Maidan in Patna. 

Kumhrar Patna

The excavations at Kumhrar at Patna in Bihar is thought to be site of ancient Patliputra, the capital of once India and of the empire of Ashoka the Great. The excavations of this site is said to to be consist of a hall of which a pillar has been excavated. It has been said that this pillar is of the very hall where the Third Buddhist Council was held under the instructions of Ashoka after this conversion to Buddhism. 
The site is a must see for those interested in history and culture of India or Buddhism and religion. The entry to the site is 4 Rupees for Indians and 100 Rupees for foreigners.

There are some great stories about this place. It is said that a holy man cursed this place. He said that if the walls of the palace are extended and it casts a shadow on his grave than it will be ruined. Indeed it was ruined when the shadows of the extension fell on the grave. Interestingly there is warning in place not to visit this site after dark and before sunrise. 

Brij Raj Bhavan Palace in Kota, Rajasthan

Major Burton used to occupy this building and he was killed during 1857 uprising by Indian sepoys. The ghost of Major Burton is harmless however he does give some people slaps when they are asleep. 

Dumas Beach, Gujarat

This beech is a very popular tourist attraction in Gujarat. It also has a dark secret. This place is also a cremation ground. Many have seen ghosts and spirits in the area. Tourists have disappeared and dogs bark whole night. 

Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad

I wonder why so many film cities are haunted. Perhaps from the ghosts of actors who realize that they had more attention while they were alive?

This is a place where many murders and suicides have taken place. Local wood cutters have spoken of a headless person walking around the woods.

It is said that the fort is haunted by a 13 old prince who was murdered brutally by his relative. Interestingly, the ghost of the prince is active during full moon.

It is said that a house in this area of Meerut has been subject to ghostly happenings. A house with 4 boys and single candle being lit has been seen. Some have witnessed a girl in red coming out of the house.
